What is International Beer Fest?
International Beer Fest is the Midwest's largest showcase and judged competition of world beers. It features 200 stellar breweries from around the world pouring upwards of 800 beers; special appearances by celebrity brewers, authors and personalities; educational programming; beer-centric demonstrations and more.
When does it take place?
International Beer Fest offers three public tasting sessions. Each session features unique content including stellar educational opportunities and appearances by celebrity brewers, authors and personalities.

Where is it being held?
The International Exposition (I-X) Center is host to International Beer Fest and has produced countless consumer and trade shows for over twenty-five years with an undisputed record of excellence. The I-X Center is conveniently located adjacent to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) between five major freeway systems just minutes from downtown Cleveland. Surrounded by 10,000 onsite parking spaces, the location and flexible size—currently the world’s eighth largest convention facility—has proven optimal for attracting large crowds to its memorable events.

The International Exposition (I-X) Center is located at One I-X Center Drive, Cleveland, Ohio 44135. The I-X Center is conveniently located adjacent to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) between five major freeway systems and just minutes from downtown Cleveland.

Where do I park?
Upwards of 10,000 spaces are available onsite. Parking is $8 per car. There are No In/Out privileges – with the exception of Saturday, May 12 for guests purchasing an ALL Session Pass only.
What can I expect?
In addition to a selection of upwards of 800 beers, constant programming unique to each session is offered and includes special appearances, a Brew U featuring beer-centric demonstrations and discussions, a tasting room with renowned brewery experts, brewery apparel and keepsakes in our Fest Store, and a host of beer-centric exhibitors showcasing their wares. Patrons purchasing VIP exBEERience tickets will also enjoy the VIP Brewers Lounge, where brewers and beer lovers unite to taste and discuss rare or limited edition beers and enjoy complimentary food pairings in a relaxing atmosphere.
Is there a minimum age for admittance?
All patrons must be 21 years of age; IDs will be checked at admissions. No children will be permitted entry.
Are group rates available?

Do tickets need to be purchased in advance?
Only a limited number of tickets are available during each session for the VIP exBEERience, which includes the VIP Brewers Lounge. As interest in the International Beer Fest grows, it is likely that we sell out of General Admission tickets as well…so get yours early to avoid missing out! Tickets, if available at the door, may be purchased using cash or major credit cards.
How can I buy tickets?

How long will it take for entry?
With so many patrons interested in the International Beer Fest, there is bound to be a line and we will move you through as quickly as possible. IDs will be checked for all patrons, so please have your ticket and ID ready to expedite admittance.
What breweries and beers are being featured?

list changes daily as breweries continue to register and solidify their submissions. 2012 list coming mid-March.
How do I sample beers?
Upon admittance to International Beer Fest, you will receive a commemorative tasting cup and sampling tickets. Samples will only be poured into the cups provided. You are not permitted to bring your own cup for sampling.
Do breweries run out of beer?
For your convenience, IBF features a selection of upwards of 800 beers from 200 breweries. Our overall supply of beer is quite ample for our anticipated attendance per session. Sometimes breweries run out of certain beers due to their popularity. We recommend that, using the event program you receive upon arrival, you seek out the breweries and beers of interest first to ensure you get a taste.
How are International Beer Fest beers being judged?
International Beer Fest is a sanctioned competition of the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), a recognized authority in judge certification and judging beer competitions. The BJCP was founded in 1985 and has administered the Beer Judge Examination to 5,875 individuals, has 3,647 active judges who have judged 590,931 beers and has sanctioned 4,208 competitions. International Beer Fest will be judged by certified judges using the 2008 BJCP Beer Style Guidelines. Medals for first, second and third prize will be presented to winning breweries in each style category at the Awards Ceremony taking place during the afternoon session on Saturday, May 14.
Will brewery merchandise be available?
For your convenience, a Fest Store located near admissions will feature apparel and keepsakes from many of your favorite breweries. Other exhibitors specializing in beer-related products will showcase and sell their wares on Fest floor.
Will water and food be available?
Complimentary water is available for all patrons and a number of food options will be available for purchase on Fest floor. Patrons purchasing VIP exBEERience tickets will also enjoy complimentary food pairings and hor d’oeurves in the VIP Brewers Lounge.
Is there a coat/property check?
Yes - $2.00 per item. Backpacks are not permitted.

I am a retailer; how can I exhibit at International Beer Fest?
A limited amount of vendor space is available for non-breweries interested in participating in the show. Call Steve Volchko at (216) 265-2619 to reserve space or complete and submit the Exhibitor Registration Form. Registration forms will be reviewed and approved by show management on a case to case basis. We will consider vendors who offer beer-related merchandise, homebrewing equipment, gourmet/specialty food, etc.
